The Enterprise Cyber Security Work Group develops APTA standards pertaining to mass transit cyber security.
Specifically, it will provide strategic recommendations for Chief Information Officers and decision makers regarding business cyber security, information systems, fare collection, and general cyber security technologies.
This work group was created to address a critical need within the transit industry. An initial mass transit cyber security scoping work group that was comprised of industry and government partners was created to examine this area and explore current efforts and future developments. The scoping group evolved into the current work group which has expanded with additional subject matter experts.
Current project: Developing initial recommended practices for transit cyber security. Additionally, the work group is educating the transit industry on cyber security and the efforts of the new program.
